To quote Doc,  "I gladly state that my major music influences were my father, Buddy Quinn, Freddie Thomas (The Electric Penguin), T. Bone Walker, Robert Johnson, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Freddie King, BB King, Albert King, Doc Pomus, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, T Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Mr. Lowell Fulson, Lighting "Sam" Hopkins and many, many other great male and female blues entertainers. Oh, I don't wanna' forget to mention Johnny Cash, Luther Perkins, Joe Maphis, Hank Sr. and Doc Watson".

Doc has owned over fifty guitars to date and still maintains a collection of twenty one guitars. Some rare and some that he just can’t let go of due to sentimental values.  His collection consist of brands such as Gibson, Fender, Washburn, Gretch, Martin, Yamaha, Regal, Stella, Galveston, Ephiphone and ect, ect...   Doc’s two favorite acoustic Guitars to just sit around and drive hard on is a Washburn and his Ephiphone, (John Lennon Series). Doc's most favorite electric guitars to extract his blues out of are his 1992 Gibson (RED) Les Paul Humbucker Special and his 1991 Fender Nat. Strat.  When he gets into his Delta Mississippi mode it's his Galveston Steel Body Dobro and/or his Blue Stella Sundale Colorama that makes that Happy Blues Sound So Sweet.

Not only does Doc love playing his music he has traveled around the US on several occasions for as many as one hundred days at a time driving his 1929 Model A Ford Pick-up loaded up with guitars and supporting gear towing his Harley behind him, stopping here and there teaching folks of all ages how to play the guitar.  Doc feels that he has a way of teaching the guitar that is so simple anyone can learn and be playing a little music after only about two hours of lesson.  Then from there they go on to learn more and love it more.  Doc doesn’t only teach folks how easy it
is to play the guitar, he teaches them to love the guitar, the beauty one can bring out of a
guitar and how the guitar can bring the real you out of you!

Doc states that he will continue to grow on the Internet and offer his music to the listeners as
he works on making more of his material available. Doc has a lifetime of music to work with and says it’s about time that he cuts it loose. To quote Doc, " I mean, let's face it man, what record company would ever pick up on an old Blues dude like me when there are young good guitarist
out there they can sign that will make them monies for a long time longer than I ever could. Hell man, I'm an old man now, hell I'm 56 and can tell you how many cracks there are in the sidewalks around most any block you ask me about. But I bet you one thing for sure, they (them young good guitarist) don't be havin' any more love nor heart for the Blues than I gots".

Doc’s music on the Internet is already grabbing the attention of several music enthusiast and at times has risen to the top of some of the major charts.

To quote Doc, "If'n ya' wanna' listen and/or maybe play along wit' me then you  just, bring the bread and peanut butter man, cause I already gots the jam. Now come on and visit an old bluesman, ok " --
